Way to go America, on that note way to go Ohio, and PA. We finally may have a chance to do something different in this country. 338 to 156 what else is there to say. The people, no matter how many McCain and Nobama signs I saw, have spoken and seem to say "hey we've had enough of this, lets try to move forward". It's a nice change to see the person I voted for win. I feel a sense of relief for the country right now.
Now I'm not saying that everything is going to magically change by summer 09, but I think that depending on the cabinet some things can start to move forward. Go read
Joe Fourhman's post about the election. I follow his feelings a bit in that I didn't completely hate McCain. I did however HATE Palin. I'm glad that she'll be gone for a bit. I'm sure she'll sho her head again, let it be 4 or 8 years.
To put this simply I'm glad for what happened yesterday. I think that things will be bumpy for a bit, but in the long run of all this it will be a great thing for America. I think that this is a chance to show other countries that we're not a bad country, just one that has lost its course. This is an exciting time and I hope that it all ends well.
Lets see if I lose any friends over this post. I did 4 years ago over
these (I was a little hot headed back then).
Once again CONGRATS AMERICA! I'm truely proud of you today.
