Birfday Time

Well it was that time of year again. For about the past 8 or 9 years I haven't had any interest in celebrating my birthday at all. I see no reason why people should congratulate me for being smart enough to live another year.

Well this year would prove to be different. Catie would see to that. She put together a whole day of things to do, making sure that I had a good time. It all started after I got out of school and got home. She promptly had me open some cards that had come in the mail and then gave me presents. I got the 25th anniversary Nightmare Before Christmas and the Tamrac Adventurer 7 camera bag. Then it was off to lunch at Mexitaly. We tried to play some mini golf but the couple courses we checked were closed, so we just came back to my place and watched the extras on the Nightmare Before Christmas disc. Then it was back out for an evening of food and baseball. We went out to the Harp and Fiddle and then over to a York Revolution game. I want to go back to the Harp and Fiddle again to get drinks, the food was good, but I love the selection of drinks they have. I had never been to a game there before and have to say that it was enjoyable. They got cremated, but it was still a good time and I got to see fireworks after the game which is always cool. After that we came back to my place again and hung out with Tauzin, Caleb, Autumn, their friend James, and Jordan (of pandas fame). Lots and lots of Rock Band went on.

It really was a good day. I never really thought I would enjoy my birthday again, but Catie showed me that I can. She is completely awesome.

I will leave you with some Rock Band action.

MPAA causes "Zack and Miri" Poster to become BETTER !

I read about this on BoingBoing. I love Kevin Smith, and can't wait to see this film. Read what he has to say on his blog "My Boring Ass Life"

After this poster was censored by the MPAA....

Kevin Smith changed it to this hand drawn version, which is hilarious.

Time for the Fair

It's that time of year again. Time to head out to the fair grounds and eat yourself stupid while watching some of the best York has to offer. Honestly for growing up in York county I haven't been to the fair that much. I think I've gone out a total of 4 or 5 times now in my 28 years here. Catie and I headed out this year though to eat and play some games. The food is over priced, but good at least. We had orangeade, pumpkin funnel cake, gyros, corndogs, fried oreos, and candy. All while playing cheap carnival games and laughing at everything.

Here are some pics from Sunday night. Also check out my flickr account for some pics from the Pandas show at the Depot this past Friday.

The ride that spins you until you puke before...

...and after

mmmm...Fried Oreos. I know they're horrible for you, but they're so good.

This thing made me laugh

Stilt Man came from nowhere

Salt and pepper things

Phallic Batman.....

The Claw

Light Streaks from a ride

Fishes that Catie won.....the one only lasted for one day.
