The Color of Mouth Vomit...

Quote of the day:

All I need is ice cream, metal, and Ryan....

I think that sums up the day on saturday. Catie and I went to Philly for a day trip of wondering around the city. It was a fun trip again, but way to short and a little to cold.

I had a whole post written out about philly and the rest of the weekend, but remembered that I need to start writing more interesting stuff. So out with that and in with other shit.

Recently found music:

I went to Relapse Records while in Philly and found some great stuff.

-Cattle Decapitation: Homovore (limited color vinyl)

I don't know why I like these guys so much, but I do. This album was released all the way back in 2000 and was limited to 666 copies of Diarrhea of the Mouth colored vinyl. If you like grindy death metal and are not a big fan of humans, check this out.

-Ed Gein: 3 Track Demo & It's a Shame That a Family Can be Torn Apart by Something as Simple as a Pack of Wild Dogs:

I've had a copy of this cd for years now and I still listen to it on a fairly regular rotation. It's just three kids giving it there all and damn if they don't know how to rock out. All three of them scream and they use clips from Donnie Darko between each track. Once again if you like grindy noise stuff this is an album to check out.

-Misery Index / Mumakil: Ruling Class Cancelled

I'll be honest I don't know anything about Mumakil. I got this split because of Misery Index. Good metal with a splash of grind tied in. Haven't listened to the Mumakil side yet but will let you know what i think of it when I do.

-Check out Misery Index: Dissent-

I also ended up braking my no comic rule during the trip and ended dropping a tad to much money out there on them, but got some great stuff like the new release of Alan Moore's "The Killing Joke", Fell #9 (which i've been waiting for for months) and my norms like The Walking Dead, Invincible etc.

The day trip was great 6 hours flew by and i can't wait to go back in April when it should be warmer.

Sunday we went and saw "Horton Hears A Who". It was really good. Excellent voice acting from all great animation. Also I want the weird little character Katie from the movie, it was awesome.

How can you not like that.

PICTURE TIME!

Easter Eggs

Ok I swear that after this one I'll be done for the time being, or until something else happens that I feel the need to blog about.

Tonight Catie and I colored easter eggs. It went real smooth and was pretty fun. We used the old school coloring kit and colored 12 eggs. Nothing fancy, artsy, or anything.

Good times and then a good movie. I also had a really good phone conversation with Bekah who I haven't been able to talk to much in the past couple weeks.

Now it's time to crack open all those eggs and make some egg salad.

Transmogrifiers

I know that I'm posting these back to back but these are somewhat quick and this way you don't have to read one stupid long post.

Some time ago I was in Sheetz and was waiting for food when I first saw Transmogrifiers, or cheap Transformers. I took this pic and then a few weeks later Caleb and Autumn show up at Tauzin's with one. I had my laptop with me at this point so I decided to copy down the story on the back of the package. Here it is in all of it's glory for you my new readers.

- For centuries war raged on the distant world of substandrotron, a planet of living machines. The machine society was divided into two diametriclly opposed camps: the heroic Virtubots and the evil Deciocons.

When Ubertron, undisputed leader of the Deviocons, gained control of the Bigspark he used its raw power to destroy Substandrotron, scattering both the Virtuobots and Deciviocons across the universe.

In search of a new home, Positivus Prime, leader of the noble Virtuobots located a remote planet called Earth. However, Ultratron and his wicked Deceovocon army followed, thus continuing the war here on Earth. -

I hope you enjoyed this. I know it made me laugh a bit.

New Beginnings

Well it looks like I'm going to be starting a new one of these over here. I'm doing this for various reasons and will hopefully be able to keep this one updated more often and less depressing then my past blogs. So lets get started.

This first post is going to be a tad long, and I appologize for that. They won't all be this bad, but hey I've got a lot to catch up on. It's been about 6 weeks since my last post. So so much has happened in the past six weeks. I'm in what seems to be the hardest term yet in school. I'm doing alright so far though. I was looking a little rough for a couple of the weeks, but i've gotten back on my feet and have another six weeks to go.

February brought a lot with it between school, work, flower show, and new people I stay very busy throughout. I almost quit borders and went back to Ritz Camera, but decided not to at the very last minuet because borders gave me some nice pluses. So I'm still at Borders but am slightly happier then i thought i could be there.

The end of February brought along some of the biggest things of the month. One of these was the annual Mid-Atlantic Garden Show. It went very smooth this year, and was fun for the most part. I'll post some pics, when I get the uploaded. The other big thing in February is that I started hanging with and ended up dating Catie. She is completely awesome. I can't really belive that it's happening, but it is and it's good. How good you ask? She showed up here on Tuesday and suprised me with this:
That's right 12 year aged Jameson. This equals the best whiskey I have ever had. I admit that I have only had 3 other types, but either way this is by far the best. So yeah that is going really well right now.

So now it's March and March is almost done at this point. This year is already flying by which is a good thing for me because the sooner the year is over the sooner I'm done school. Already though this month I've been to New York for the first time in my life, got to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in style, Played a shit-ton of Super Smash Bros. and in a week and some days will be back in Philly. Here's to hoping that things stay this way.

I'm going to end this post with some extra pics for you.
