Long time no post...
Sorry for the long delay, but it's been insanely busy with work and school.
On June 13th Catie and I hit the road and drove up to Connecticut to see her friend Laura. The drive up took about 8+ hours and traffic wasn't to bad until you hit Connecticut itself. Once you cross that state line it's bumper to bumper. We finally got there though and pretty much had enough time to change and head out to dinner at a small Mexican place down the street. From there we headed to a small bar way out of the way and then back to another bar called the Red Door. It was a very long day that ended in odd ways.
The next day we went to Foxwoods Casino for a day of gambling. It was pretty cool. Spent most of the time with Catie and Laura at the slots. Monopoly slots are fun, well the bonus games are fun I should say.
We left about three on Sunday and made it back in a record 5 hours. Less then 5 really and I didn't speed at all. There wasn't any traffic was all. On the way back we stopped at Blue Colony Diner and got some giant pastries which were delicious. It was a really nice trip, very busy times, but fun, and it was nice to meet laura.
WATCHING:
Wall-E: Great film from pixar again. The main plot is about a small robot named Wall-E that has been left on an Earth that has been deserted. He then falls for another robot (e.v.e) that is left on his planet by a mysterious space ship. When the spaceship comes back for e.v.e. Wall-E stows away to be with her and things happen. Go see it.
Wanted: CONTAINS SPOILERS!!! It's still hard for me to make my mind up on this one. It stars James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie as professional assassins. It starts out strong and stays that way for a good portion of the film, but at some point stumbles. I'll say the two main points will be the "Loom of Fate" and the "I'm Your Father" bullshit. It's good for the other 75% of the film and it's worth seeing on the big screen if you can. Go see a matinée.
Weeds Season 3: If you haven't watched season one and two of this awesome show then go rent them NOW! Weeds put simply revolves around Nancy Botwin. Her husband has just passsed and to make ends meet she starts selling weed. Take my word for it this show is amazing and each season leaves you hanging. Season three does not let down. When it starts you think everything is going to end and they carry that feeling through-out the season. Rent It Now. Season 4 just started on Showtime.
